Houses do not have credit scores but people do, so your son’s girlfriend’s credit rating is personal. If she does get into difficulty with repayments then letters and contact will come to your address but in her name and you would not be entitled to open her mail so would not necessarily be aware of this. If she is ever in a situation where bailiffs are used then it will be your address they come to. This still does not mean that your credit rating is affected as the debts are not in your name but it can be inconvenient. If she is getting into debt difficulty and calls a free debt adviser there may be ways to stop the situation getting worse. If she is not struggling to pay her debts then it will never have any impact and her credit rating may improve in future.
