Can I leave my full-time job, go self employed and then declare?

I am being made unwell by the levels of stress from debt and work. Need to solve both. How will my decision to leave my job (£48k p/a) be viewed when I apply?

You didn't finish the question off but I assume you are talking about bankruptcy.

Its a big step and the consequences are different for different people. There are very few definitive answers to your question.

You need to get some advice before you make any big decision such as leaving a job or declaring yourself bankrupt.

Obviously if stress is making you ill you have to do something.
